Toyota is one of the biggest sport sponsors in the world, but in lockdown all sport was cancelled, so we had to find a new way to connect Toyota with sports fans. Globally eSports is a $170-billion industry with over 200 million fans. It’s also the only sport you can watch and play from home. Locally, no major brand had stepped in to champion it yet. So, we developed a purpose-built, brand-owned esports platfrom for Toyota; The Toyota Gaming Engine.
Designed from the ground up in partnership with African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL), TTGE is a hub for pro and amateur esport players of all skill levels to up their game, be part of a community of enthusiasts, compete in challenges, tournaments and events, track their progress and earn their way to great prizes in an environment that blurs the line between real-world and virtual sport.
